Chilipepper Rockfish
Chilipepper rockfish are a type of rockfish that are found in midwater and on rocky ocean bottoms. They are a long-lived fish that can live up to 35 years. They are pinkish-red in color with pink fins and a light red lateral line along their sides. They have a slender, elongated body with a pointed head and a lower jaw that projects outward. Chilipepper rockfish are found in large schools between 330 and 990 feet. They frequent deep rocky reefs, sand, and mud bottoms. Chilipepper rockfish are a good alternative for seafood. They are mild and sweet with a firm, large flaked texture.
